A 24-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder for Friday’s killing of a woman in Scarborough.

Toronto Police say officers responded to a medical call at a home at 3988 Ellesmere Rd. around 3:10 a.m. and found a woman inside who had suffered trauma to her body.

The victim was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

A man was arrested at the scene.

Police have identified the victim as Nabila Aminzadah, 36, of Toronto. She is the city’s 75th homicide of the year.

Charged with first-degree murder is Carland Walker, 24, who appeared in court Friday via video link.

Meanwhile, three men have been arrested for Thursday’s deadly shooting death of a man in Ajax.

Durham Regional Police say officers responded to an armed person call at a home on Pembry Dr., near Kingston and Westney Rds. just before 4:30 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a man inside suffering from gunshot wounds.

Maurice Fullerton, 33, was rushed to a Toronto trauma centre but later succumbed to his injuries.

Cops say three suspects were arrested in Oshawa on Friday and charged in connection with the shooting.

Devin Mandley-Byer, 22, Trevor Kotzma, 25, and Michael Rodgers, 25, are each charged with second-degree murder.
